Air Products AS Norway was the first company to market fiber membrane systems for air separation on ships and offshore installations. Their first nitrogen generator plant was installed on a ship in 1984 and the first on an offshore platform in 1985.
Air Products’ proven nitrogen production technology provides high-purity nitrogen using less feed air compared to many competing systems, enabling customers from various industries worldwide to produce nitrogen locally and economically.
To date, Air Products Norway has installed over 1200 PRISM® membrane nitrogen plants across a wide range of maritime applications, and over 220 PRISM® membrane nitrogen plants for offshore installations. All systems are manufactured in Norway. All post-sales services, support, and assistance worldwide are fully managed from Norway, with additional support from agents and service centers worldwide.
