MARSIS has been providing design and manufacturing of fire protection systems in the maritime sector since 2005 and is the first and only Turkish brand of external fire protection systems.
Marsis produced external fire protection systems between 2005 and 2011 for various applications. Since 2011, Marsis has expanded its product range and started producing Water Mist Systems which include low-pressure systems and local installations for engine rooms, vehicle area systems, automatic systems for accommodations. In the same year, Marsis began producing the gas fire protection system (NOVEC1230, FM200) and the fire detection and alarm system supported by TYCO.
The system components are partly produced by Marsis and partly supplied by renowned companies in the industry for quality and reliability. All calculations and technical drawings are prepared in-house by experienced engineers according to the rules of classification societies and customer specifications. System design and supplied components are approved by any naval classification society:
– 3D design, force analysis using finite element method, flow analysis using finite volume method
– General system design and consultancy, integration and interface of components and systems, general layout drawings
– Pipe layout, equipment assembly drawings, item drawings, and item technical datasheets
– NPSH calculation, pressure loss calculation, and flow calculations
– Water spray system design for vessel self-protection
– Water spray nozzle layout
– Control system design and engineering, and electrical diagrams
– Marine classification approvals
MARSIS is located 5 km from the shipyards area of Tuzla. The facility has a closed area of 2500 m2 and boasts a team of 28 experienced technicians divided into design, research and development, project, production, and service departments.
